Therapeutic riding and equine education
for children and adults of all ages and abilities

At Giddyup we provide customized private lessons that support the individual therapeutic and learning needs of each student.  For some riding a horse provides the increased strength, balance and physical coordination necessary for improved mobility and physical skills. For others it is an opportunity to develop and improve critical thinking skills, decision-making, problem solving and social and communication skills.

Horses provide a unique opportunity for all our riders to challenge themselves, become more independent and gain self-confidence while participating in an exciting recreational activity!

Facilities

The farm is located just outside Toronto at 4852 Vandorf Sideroad in Stouffville. It is approximately 30 minutes from the 401 and the Don Valley Parkway, east of the 404 just north of Bloomington Sideroad. Facilities include a large indoor arena and an outdoor ring and riding trails. There is a heated waiting area for parents.

Giddyup! Horses

Our twenty horses are chosen for their calm, people-friendly personalities. Our ongoing, specialized training program is designed to teach them to react in a calm and controlled manner in all types of situations. Each horse is carefully matched to the ability level and learning goals of the rider.

“I love horseback riding. Every Sunday I go horseback riding at Giddyup. At Giddyup I ride Rocky. Rocky is brown with a light brown mane.  I love horseback riding because I love horses.  I love Rocky because he is nice, funny, gentle and silly.”

Anna, age 11

The relationship he has with his horse is a connection that I don't see anywhere else. He's so excited to come each week!
